The Graduation Rates Leadership Team has been engaged in many discussions and activities since we met at the Sask Graduates Symposium held in Moose Jaw last September.   Based on the research and promising practices shared at the symposium, the team has been envisioning what a “My Student First” Grade 10 Classroom should look like.
The Leadership Team has been asking what are the key attributes needed for students to be successful and graduate from high school.  Some of the key attributes that continue to rise to the top are engagement, attendance and transitions.  The team has had the privilege to work with the Ministry on a process that will ensure student specific reports are available to school principals to assist with the monitoring and support of these key attributes.
The Provincial Leadership Team (PLT) has been regularly updated and informed of the progress made with the priority and key actions have been identified for inclusion in the Graduation Outcome for Cycle 3, including a Symposium which will be held in the fall of 2017.
